SMS Terms & Conditions

By opting in to receive SMS (text) messages from Guardian Visibility LLC ("Guardian Visibility," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Program Description

Guardian Visibility provides SMS notifications related to cold chain monitoring operations. Our SMS program delivers operational and account-related messages to authorized recipients, including company staff and enrolled carrier partners.

SMS messaging is used exclusively for operational purposes. We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages via SMS.

2. Message Categories

By consenting to receive SMS messages, you may receive the following types of notifications:

  • Operational Alerts: System status notifications, server health warnings, service interruptions, and critical infrastructure updates
  • Shipment Notifications: Temperature excursion alerts, location updates, delivery status, and door open/close events for monitored loads
  • Account Notifications: Security alerts, payment confirmations, account verification codes, and important account updates
  • Equipment Notifications: Device status updates, installation confirmations, low battery warnings, and maintenance alerts

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your role and account activity:

  • Internal staff alerts: Sent only when system conditions warrant notification (e.g., server outage, database connectivity issue, critical service failure)
  • Carrier notifications: Typically a few messages per month, varying based on load activity and alert configurations

Messages are triggered by system events and are not sent on a fixed schedule. You will never receive more messages than necessary for operational purposes.

4. Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Guardian Visibility does not charge any fees for SMS messages. Any charges from your mobile carrier are your responsibility. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your messaging plan.

5. Consent and Opt-In

SMS consent is collected through one or more of the following methods:

  • Verbal consent provided to a Guardian Visibility representative during onboarding or account setup
  • Written consent via the Carrier Preferred Program Agreement (Section 13: SMS Communications Consent)
  • Account registration where the user provides a mobile phone number and agrees to receive notifications

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Guardian Visibility. Consent is required only to receive certain operational notifications via SMS; equivalent notifications are available via email.

6. Opt-Out / How to Stop Messages

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time using any of the following methods:

  • Reply STOP: Text STOP to any message received from Guardian Visibility. You will receive a single confirmation message: "Guardian Visibility: You have been unsubscribed. No more messages will be sent. Reply START to re-subscribe."
  • Email: Send your opt-out request to support@guardianviz.com
  • Phone: Call (406) 430-6100 during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM Mountain Time)
  • Carrier Portal: Update your communication preferences in your account settings at https://guardianviz.com/portal

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further SMS communications from Guardian Visibility. Opting out of SMS does not affect email notifications or other account communications.

If you have previously opted out and wish to resume receiving SMS messages:

  • Reply START: Text START to the Guardian Visibility number
  • Contact us: Call (406) 430-6100 or email support@guardianviz.com
  • Carrier Portal: Update your communication preferences in your account settings

Guardian Visibility SMS messages are supported on all major U.S. mobile carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and their affiliates. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

10. Privacy

Guardian Visibility respects your privacy. We will not sell, rent, or share your phone number or SMS consent information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Information collected in connection with our SMS program is subject to our Privacy Policy. We collect and use your phone number solely for the purpose of delivering the SMS notifications described in these terms.

11. Modifications

Guardian Visibility reserves the right to modify these SMS Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued receipt of SMS messages after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. If material changes are made, we will notify active SMS recipients via text message.
