Facility Intelligence System Goes Live — 8,954 Locations Mapped

Guardian Visibility has launched the most comprehensive truck-focused facility database in the cold chain industry, with 8,954 locations mapped and geofenced across North America. Every truck stop, rest area, weigh station, cold storage facility, and agricultural inspection station in our database has GPS coordinates and a 200-meter geofence for automatic visit detection.

The data comes from six verified sources: USDOT Truck Parking datasets, OpenStreetMap via the Overpass API, USDA Cold Storage directories, California CDFA agricultural inspection stations, Florida FDACS inspection stations, and our own carrier telemetry data. Every facility was geocoded and deduplicated against existing records — Google Geocoding achieved a 100% hit rate on the final pass, bringing total GPS coverage to 99.5% of all facilities.

But this isn't just a database — it's a living platform. Drivers using the GV Buddy app can leave GPS-verified reviews of facilities they've actually visited. No fake reviews, no competitors gaming the system. Your truck's GPS proves you were there before you can rate the facility.

Reviews cover what matters to drivers: parking availability, safety conditions, food options, shower quality, and reefer-friendly amenities like electrical hookups and fuel island clearance. Each facility page shows aggregate ratings, visit frequency, average dwell times, and real-time conditions reported by recent visitors.

The facility intelligence system also feeds into our Telemetry Intelligence pipeline. When a trailer's GPS matches a known facility, the system automatically adjusts reporting intervals, contextualizes security events, and enriches detention calculations with facility-specific data.
